How to register for TOAC?
Step One: Mandataory before arriving in Taiwan
Fill up and submit the application form online. You can do this up to three (3) days before your arrival date in Taiwan.

Are there any exemptions for foreign citizens from completing the TOAC?
Yes, the following categories of foreign citizens are exempt:
A. You have a visa
B. Those holding Alien Resident Certificates
C. Those holding diplomatic ID cards issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, R.O.C. (Taiwan)
D. Nationals without Household Registration in the Taiwan Area except those holding R.O.C. (Taiwan) Resident Certificates
E. People of the Mainland Area
F. Hong Kong and Macau Residents
What is meant by the Date of Departure in the TOAC form?
The travellers must provide the date they will depart Taiwan for another country.

Does the TOAC form need to be filled up if I am merely using Taiwan airport for transit and changing to the next flight within the same terminal without approaching the immigration counter?
Yes, it is highly recommended that you complete the TOAC since you might need to enter Taiwan in an emergency. Choose “Accommodation of Stay” as ‘OTHERS’ and enter ‘In Case of Emergency – Transit Only [Flight No#]’ for the Address in Taiwan.
Do I have to complete the TOAC form if I land at Terminal 1 on a transit flight and then take off from Terminal 2 or another airport in Taiwan ?
Yes, you need to complete the TOAC.
Is it permissible for me to complete the TOAC on behalf of someone else, such as my father-in-law, a senior person, a child, etc.?
Yes, you can complete the TOAC on their behalf. However, the traveller must still go through the immigration vetting process at the immigration counter and present all information on the TOAC.
